We are getting close to November 1, deadline for entering a team for Lundaspelen. In some age-groups, registration after deadline is still possible, but in order to guarantee your participation in this year’s Lundaspelen in Handball by Sparbanken Finn, you have to enter by November 1. We can already say that most certainly, last year’s record of participating countries in Lundspelen, 14! will be beaten.

Teams from 13 different countries have already entered and negotiations are being carried on with teams from 7 more countries. Teams from Africa and Asia have entered and the number of teams from Eastern Europe and the Balkan States is steadily increasing. Some difficult issues, as to visas for instance, need to be sorted before we know the exact number of participating countries.

The number of participating teams is also increasing. Maybe last year’s all-time-high of 464 teams will be beaten. It is still too early to say!

We are really trying to expand the number of arenas in order to improve conditions for the participating teams.

One thing for sure, watching the top teams and the Finals in Lund’s new Arena will be something out of the ordinary.
